For a node locked license, the host ID chosen for the license, need to be first in the list of physical addresses.
If this is not the case, the network priority of the ethernet connection can be set to the highest priority in Windows with these steps:
- Open “network status”
- Select “change adaptor options”
- Right click on the “ethernet” adaptor and select “properties”
- Click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and select “properties”
- In the “General” tab, click “advanced”
- In the “IP settings tab”, uncheck “automatic metric” and enter “1” in the “interface metric” field
- Click “Ok”
- Restart computer
You can check that the chosen host ID is now first in the list by using ipcondig/all again in a command window
